Today was a day of rest and relaxation. The morning saw more heavy rain but by mid morning we were on the beach, playing with the paddle board, swimming and riding the jet ski. Tonight we went into Charlevoix for a nice dinner and a walk around the town. Charlevoix is at the north eastern end of Michigan and is bordered by Lake Charlevoix, Round Lake and Lake Michigan. It is a fairly typical upscale waterside resort community with lots of good food, shopping and lakeside walkways, one that goes out to a lighthouse at the entry to Lake Michigan. Cherif has been giving us a bit of the history of the area and told us how Ernest Hemingway used to fish in the waters around their cottage. The cottage is actually a few miles down Lake Charlevoix from the City of Charlevoix. Tomorrow we hit the road again, traveling along the coast of Lake Michigan and eventually to Ludington where we will catch the ferry to Wisconsin
