ONTO EVERY RIDE A LITTLE RAIN MUST FALL......

After looking at some pretty dire forecasts for this morning, it was a pleasant surprise to leave on dry roads. In fact aside from a brief shower around Palmyra we had dry roads all day. It was ideal conditions, dry, cloudy and not too hot.
No trip west is complete unless you take a detour to Niagara Falls. I am always in awe of the power and beauty that you are witness to there.

The only glitch was at the border coming into Michigan where we had to wait for probably a half hour because they were doing construction and the bridge is down to one lane. Killed my usual approach to bridges as I always try to ride the middle but only the outside was open........and it is a REALLY high bridge.

I always make the best of a situation, making friends with the toll attendant while we waited.
Port Huron seems to be a nice little town in the midst of a revival. Nice downtown on the water and we found a really good Irish Pub for dinner.
We are all pretty tired after a 400 mile day. Tomorrow we will head south for about 30 miles and begin our trip around the "coast" of Michigan.
